Opticon releases new Firmware for the OPN-2500 - version FFN4076L

New firmware has been released for the Opticon OPN-2500 - version FFN4076L [major release].

It is strongly advised to use version FFN4076L or higher (if available) on your OPN-2500's as crucial performance enhancements have been implemented.

New in this version:

• Boosted file system performance;
• Enhanced data integrity across all OPN-2500 functional modes;
• Strengthened memory timestamp validation;
• several minor performance tweaks.

Due to timing issues communication could become unstable or even stall when multiple OPN-2500's are attached to one PC, either being connected directly to multiple USB ports of the PC or be it via a DOKKi multicradle.

The solution is two-fold, the first part is the new OPN-2500 firmware whilst the second part is the newly released 'Csp2.dll'  (version 4.0.7.3) where the timings have been finetuned to the new OPN-2500's speed. The latest Csp2.dll is already included in the Companion Application installer.
For your Custom application the latest Csp2.dll can best be pulled from the 'Companion Application' installation directory as this App is being updated more frequently than the larger SDK. You can find the download links below.
