Moreover, our manufacturing process and components have been carefully curated to meet contemporary challenges and exceed quality expectations. The L-250 was born.
User-Friendly Experience
The L-250 handheld scanner – your gateway to streamlined operations and enhanced productivity. It stands out as a swift and user-friendly handheld scanner. Featuring the integrated Opticon 2D CMOS imager with an impressive 100 frames per second, coupled with one of the industry’s fastest global shutters, it guarantees rapid and precise scans. Driven by a high-performance yet energy-efficient 1.2GHz CPU, the device maintains seamless responsiveness, effortlessly processing the vast data flow from the CMOS image sensor within an incredibly short timeframe. Upon scanning a barcode, users receive immediate feedback through visual LED indicators, or a buzzer alert.
Perfectly Balanced
Weighing a mere 112 grams, the L-250 boasts a lightweight construction, while its ergonomic pistol grip design ensures optimal balance during use. Incorporating an antimicrobial agent, the L-250 actively inhibits the growth of microorganisms, safeguarding against potentially harmful bacteria and mold.
An optional stand is also available for added convenience and versatility. This stand provides a stable and hands-free scanning experience, further enhancing the usability of the L-250 handheld scanner.
Why Choose Our Handheld Scanners?
- Hygiene: In environments where multiple people may handle the barcode scanner, such as in retail stores, logistics or healthcare settings, the antimicrobial properties help reduce the risk of cross-contamination and the spread of germs. That is why the L-250 comes standard with antimicrobial properties.
- High-quality and Swift Data Capture: With a 100 fps global shutter CMOS Sensor, the L-250 achieves fast scanning speeds and unparalleled motion tolerance. Capture data swiftly and accurately, even in high-motion environments. This leads to accelerated operations and minimized wait times.
- Unmatched Precision: Our handheld barcode scanners ensure pinpoint accuracy in data collection, reducing human errors that can lead to costly mistakes.
- Real-Time Insights: Stay on top of your sales trends and inventory levels with real-time data insights. Our barcode scanners integrate seamlessly with inventory management and point-of-sale systems, providing you with up-to-the-minute information.
- User-Friendly Design: Ergonomically designed for comfort and ease of use, our handheld scanners fit comfortably in your hand, ensuring extended usage without discomfort.
- Versatile Connectivity: The L-250 has a composite USB interface that supports both USB-HID and USB-COM. This allows you to send commands via the USB-COM interface even when the scanner is set on keyboard (HID).
- Durability for Demanding Environments: Built to withstand the rigors of various work environments, our L-250 handheld barcode scanner is rugged and durable. Surviving 1.5 meter drops to concrete, from bustling retail floors to busy warehouses.
- Cost-Efficient Solution: Investing in our barcode scanners is a cost-effective decision in the long run. Reduce the time and resources spent on manual processes, decrease errors, and enhance overall efficiency, leading to improved ROI.
The L-250 has some exceptional features:
- Standard antimicrobial
- High motion tolerance
- 100 frames per second
- Dual USB mode (HID and COM both active at the same time)
- User configurable

IP Ratings (Ingress Protection)
A two-digit number established by the International Electro Technical Commission, is used to provide an Ingress Protection rating to a piece of electronic equipment or to an enclosure for electronic equipment.
The protection class after EN60529 are indicated by short symbols that consist of the two code letters IP and a code numeral for the amount of the protection.
Example: IP65 (NEMA 4)
The two digits represent different forms of environmental influence:
• The first digit represents protection against ingress of solid objects.
• The second digit represents protection against ingress of liquids.
The larger the value of each digit, the greater the protection. As an example, a product rated IP54 would be better protected against environmental factors than another similar product rated as IP42.
IP TABLE:
IP.. | First digit: Ingress of solid objects |
Second digit: Ingress of liquids |
---|---|---|
0 | No protection | No protection |
1 | Protected against solid objects over 50mm e.g. hands, large tools. | Protected against vertically falling drops of water or condensation. |
2 | Protected against solid objects over 12.5mm e.g. hands, large tools. | Protected against falling drops of water, if the case is disposed up to 15 from vertical. |
3 | Protected against solid objects over 2.5mm e.g. wire, small tools. | Protected against sprays of water from any direction, even if the case is disposed up to 60from vertical. |
4 | Protected against solid objects over 1.0mm e.g. wires. | Protected against splash water from any direction. |
5 | Limited protection against dust ingress. (no harmful deposit) |
Protected against low pressure water jets from any direction. Limited ingress permitted. |
6 | Totally protected against dust ingress. | Protected against high pressure water jets from any direction. Limited ingress permitted. |
7 | N/A | Protected against short periods of immersion in water. |
8 | N/A | Protected against long, durable periods of immersion in water. |
9k | N/A | Protected against close-range high pressure, high temperature spray downs. |
Not Rated |
The device's IP for solid objects has not been rated. | The device's IP for liquids has not been rated. |
USB-HID
HID = Human Input Device ; output emulated like a keyboard.
The data is entered at the point of the cursor or current focus (in a form).
Language and keyboard selection need to match between scanner and host!
USB-VCP
VCP = Virtual Comm Port ; output is send to the assigned comm port.
In most cases a driver is neccessary!
USB-MSD
MSD = Mass Storage Device ; emulates storage like an USB-stick.
Plugging in the device in this mode makes the devices' internal storage directly accessible from your host.
In general in Windows you will see a pop-up/notification of a drive letter that has been mounted.
USB-OTG
OTG = On The Go ; enables the USB port to act as a host on PDA's/smartphones and tablets, allowing input from a keyboard.
The data is entered at the point of the cursor or current focus (in a form).
Language and keyboard selection need to match between scanner and host!
ETHERNET
Wired Ethernet connection via DHCP or Fixed IP.
Older supported protocols:
ActiveSync
Communication through Microsoft ActiveSync.
RS232
Communication through the wired direct RS232 protocol.
Wedge
Old style PS/2 connections for keyboard/mouse communication.
- USB-HID
